DaVita Dialysis Clinic
DaVita Corporation provides dialysis services for those diagnoses with chronic kidney failure, nearly 54,000 patients, in 37 states from over 624 outpatient dialysis centers. They also provide acute inpatient dialysis services in over 369 hospitals across the country. They are the largest independent provider of dialysis services in the US.

Their Need
Part of DaVita’s growth plan included a new facility in LaGrange, Kentucky, but their contractor told them he could not meet their aggressive schedule. It was late November and they had to open their 5,000 square foot, 12-station facility by mid-March, so they turned to our distributor Resun Leasing which contacted Whitley Manufacturing.

The Whitley Solution
Typically, modular construction can shave 40 to 50 percent off a construction schedule, but Whitley had fewer than 60 days to ship a completely new dialysis clinic with many exacting specifications. The design had to be finalized, permits acquired, materials ordered, ground prepared, construction completed and finish work concluded on site. Through an extra-ordinary effort during the holiday season and into the dead of winter Whitley was able to ship the building with enough time to allow for exterior brickwork and erection of a pitched roof on site. The building was opened on schedule less than 100 days after the beginning of construction.
