Modular Builders, Inc., Opens for Business
|
Modular Builders, Inc., to begin manufacturing in Central Indiana Modular Builders Inc., a Whitley Mfg. company, has announced plans to begin production of a range of modular buildings in Rochester, Indiana by January 15, 2001.
The company is a cooperative venture of three modular industry veterans, Jasper Dulin of Rochester, Simon Dragan of South Whitley, Indiana, and Randy Fletcher of Warsaw, Indiana. Dulin, a Rochester businessman, worked with Dragan and Fletcher at Whitley Manufacturing in South Whitley. Whitley Manufacturing is considered a premier manufacturer of modular buildings in America. With factories in Washington and Indiana Whitley serves clients nationwide. Fletcher has spent the last twenty years in the modular industry having worked for Whitley Manufacturing, as well as Williams-Scotsman, an industry leader in modular leasing and sales.
Rochester is located between Indianapolis and South Bend, Indiana on US 31. MBI will employ approximately 60 people at the plant within the year and will serve all distributors in the Midwest, Plain States and East Coast.
MBI will team with Whitley Manufacturing's engineering department to specialize in office buildings, classrooms and health care centers. The factory will be able to produce units 14 feet wide and 70 feet long. Floor plans can range from 500 square feet to 40,000 square and can include the fullest range of modern conveniences.
