Modular Floor Number 35,000

Our 35,000th modular floor will soon go on the assembly line marking another milestone in the long history of Whitley Manufacturing.
The milestone will be celebrate with gifts, festivities and a renewed commitment to quality and service, the hallmarks of Whitley's rise to prominence in the modular building industry.
Founded in 1946 to serve the housing needs of returning veterans, Whitley was acquired in 1970 by Williams Mobile Industries and was transformed into a manufacturer of commercial modular structures, including schools, classrooms and medical facilities.
Simon Dragan, an executive with Williams, bought the factory in 1993 and since expanded the production capability to three plants in two states, retaining the headquarters in South Whitley, Indiana. Dragan focused the company on quality production and excellent service.
The milestone will be celebrated in a number of ways. The distributor who places the order for the 35,000th floor will receive a plasma TV, or can choose instead to donate the gift to charity. Additionally, the distributor and staff will be taken to dinner by Whitley leaders. This summer the crew that built the unit will also be honored with a company-wide pic-nic in South Whitley.
