Morrison and Ravis Join Whitley Staff

Two new faces extend greatly the capabilities of Whitley Manufacturing.

John Morrison has joined the staff of Whitley Manufacturing in marketing. John will work to improve the look of our materials, project our presence into a variety of market areas and help the company strategize its future. John comes very well prepared to do the work. For ten years he worked at Four Seasons Housing, the last five of those years as director of marketing and public relations for the worldwide manufacturer of modular homes. It was during his tenure at Four Seasons that the company bucked the industry trend with a 54 percent growth in sales. The rest of the industry was in reverse with a negative 27 percent growth. John led brand creation and promotion efforts, handled company events and promotions, traveled to trade shows and generally advised the organization on finding and exploiting marketing opportunities.
John is from South Bend, has a degree from Indiana University and a strong background in industrial and graphic design, as well as art and design direction. For recreation John enjoys competitive cycling and rides a Black Label Shimano, a very fast bike. Among his other diversions is Russian literature with an affinity toward Anton Chekhov, among others. He also has a compendium of the writings of the great French novelist and essayist Marcel Proust and speaks French. You might also find John cheering Notre Dame along from some of the better seats in the house.

Another new addition to our growing organization is Keith Ravis. Keith started his career in construction with a hammer, speed square and pouch of nails as a carpenter working for a south Michigan home builder. From there he went to Central Michigan University where he majored in Construction Management and then on to the next stop in his career path, superintending multi family construction projects. Buildings ranged from six million to eleven million dollars and included single story buildings, two story buildings, and one four story building. Projects ranged in size from 3,000 square feet to 140,000 square feet.
Keith is a golfer, a lover of most sports and a family man who likes the companionship of his wife, family and pets. He will be managing or assisting in the management of many of the larger projects that we produce for the eastern half of the country. He puts customer satisfaction at the top of his goals and stresses quality construction, staying within budget and on-time completion. A good set of goals.
