Whitley Wins 7 Awards in National Modular Building Competition
|
SOUTH WHITLEY, Indiana. Whitley Manufacturing Co., Inc. of South Whitley, Indiana was recently presented with seven Awards of Distinction at the Modular Building Institute’s annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Modular Building Institute is the trade organization for the commercial modular industry and the Awards of Distinction are the industry’s awards program. Entries are judged by an impartial panel of industry and non-industry construction and code experts, architects and engineers, and marketing professionals. Judging criteria includes architectural excellence, technical innovation, cost effectiveness, energy efficiency, and calendar days to completion.
Whitley Manufacturing received awards for Shoreline School District of Washington’s Music Building, Bank of the Pacific branch building in Bellingham, Washington, the Minneapolis, Minnesota V.A. Medical Center office and therapy building addition to their existing facility, a Women’s Correctional Dormitory in Gillette, Wyoming, the Ehove Career Center in Milan, Ohio, University Hospital’s Medical Campus – medical office and interim facility in Cleveland, Ohio, and Evans-Kimmell Hall in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Indiana Tech University’s Evans-Kimmell Hall, located in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana was presented with a First Place Award. The four-story, 21,000 square foot building was designed by Design Collaborative of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and houses 60 students in semi-private suites.
