The Need

Whitley Manufacturing has been selected by RAD Technology Medical Systems to deliver a second modular healthcare facility for the Swedish Hospital network in the Pacific Northwest. Designed by Perkins + Will of Seattle, WA, the new 15,000 SFT Medical Oncology Clinic is located on the Edmonds campus of Swedish Medical Center.

The Solution

The new facility was delivered using modern and sustainable modular construction, allowing for an accelerated delivery schedule to replace services at the adjacent Puget Sound Cancer Center Building. The first floor features reception, registration, waiting, medical oncology clinic, and various staff and support offices. The second floor accommodates (20) infusion bays and the pharmacy. Perkins + Will’s exterior design is “simple, elegant, and complimentary in scale and materials with the surrounding campus context”. The building includes many sustainable features such as a high-performance glazing system and Swisspearl rain screen exterior cladding.
