Harborfront Inn is a luxury hotel located on the north fork of Long Island, amidst the blossoming wine country. This is the first hotel to be built in the area in over 25 years. Modular construction provided a rapid fast-track production process. At the same time, it incorporated luxurious features including oversized soaking and whirlpool baths, spacious showers with floor to ceiling porcelain tile and body-jets. Balconies were designed overlooking the Peconic Bay and Shelter Island.

Challenge
Strict Timeline + Highly Detailed
The challenges of building a three story luxury hotel by utilizing modular construction principles and processes is a great challenge all in in itself. Add to the challenge the site location being on the coast of Long Island with high winds and hurricanes possible and you have a true challenge that only Whitley could take on.
Speed and efficiency are always fundamental goals when producing a modular building with the purpose of this modular building being a luxury hotel the quickest path to revenue and occupancy is key and modular construction allows for this to be so comparative to traditional construction.
